The holiday seasons are near and WHB Solutions wishes that although the worlds financial crisis is still hanging on balance, we must be thankful for what life has to offer. Money has always been a battle between good and evil but at the end of the day, money is only a tool that helps people survive. Although, losing money can cause a lot of stress in a person’s life, money can always be recovered, and sometimes the recovery process is longer than shorter.
As many homeowners nationwide have been dealing with the threat of losing their home or are going through foreclosure, a high level of stress has ensued and the loss of money has devastated many families. But thought on the positive side, the stress of needing to pay on a mortgage that is not longer affordable can end. Renting a place to live is not the end of the world as it provides the basic necessity of survival with shelter over ones head.
When 2010 rolls around, there will be a large number of foreclosures due to adjusting mortgage loans that jump to higher payments that homeowners will not be able to afford. This will provide additional inventory in the market with great deals for new home buyers and also opportunities for short sales. Although many homeowners will lose their homes the housing market will be fighting hard to a stable recovery and hopefully in the next two years, things will start to look up.
For the number of homeowners that are facing foreclosure this holiday season, there is a bit of relief from three lenders that are suspending foreclosure actions for owner occupied single family homes between Dec 19 2009 and January 3, 2010 . These lenders include Citigroup, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.
Freddie Mac backed mortgaged homes will not be subject to evictions during the holidays. Homes backed by Citigroup says it will suspend foreclosures and evictions for 30 days, going to Jan 17, 2010.
Although this is suspension is temporary, it is a good sign for the number of homeowners who have been stressed with losing their homes and will not have to worry about getting kicked out into the streets during the holidays.
To all homeowners who are facing foreclosure, we hope that you make the best of the holiday seasons. Spend time with family and friends. Volunteer your time to charities or helping out non profit organizations. Understand that life goes on and horribe feelings of losing your home will pass. It is a chance to start over again. A chance to relieve your financial woes and to do things differently. A chance to live again….
